Dresden (dpa / sn) – The AfD in the Saxon state parliament has demanded consistent border protection with Poland and the Czech Republic. “The conditions, especially near the border, are becoming more unbearable every day due to the increasing crime rate,” said Deputy Sebastian Wippel in Dresden on Monday. Wippel – a police officer by profession – comes from the border town of Görlitz and is the domestic spokesman for the AfD parliamentary group. He referred to crimes linked to asylum seekers, citing Interior Ministry responses to a minor question in Parliament.
