Zerbst (dpa/sa) – When an ambulance and a car collided in Zerbst (Anhalt-Bitterfeld district) on Sunday evening, six people were injured. Because expensive equipment was also damaged in the emergency vehicle, the damage amounted to more than 250,000 euros, the police in Köthen said on Monday. After the vehicles collided at an intersection, the 39-year-old ambulance driver, her 26-year-old colleague and a 90-year-old patient came to hospitals for outpatient treatment. The 22-year-old driver of the other car and his 22- and 24-year-old passengers were also injured, it said. According to the police, the ambulance was on its way without blue lights and sirens.
