Magdeburg (dpa/sa) – At the Magdeburg University Hospital, a man is said to have attacked and slightly injured several hospital employees and a police officer. The 33-year-old attacked two nurses, a doctor and two security guards on Monday afternoon, police said. When the police arrived, he then hit a 20-year-old officer on the back of her knee and pulled her hair.
According to information from Tuesday, the man was tied up and temporarily forcibly admitted. The background to the incident is therefore unclear so far, but the man is said not to have had a weapon. He is now being investigated for assaulting law enforcement officials and for causing bodily harm. A police spokesman was initially unable to say whether the man was still in custody.
