Stendal (dpa/sa) – In Stendal, a car driver tried to evade a police check on Saturday evening and ended up fleeing with his vehicle in scaffolding. According to the police on Sunday, the car repeatedly ran red traffic lights with squeaking tires. When officials wanted to check the vehicle and its occupants, the driver fled and finally drove into the scaffolding of a house.
The vehicle occupants then fled on foot in different directions. Two of the passengers were found, but the identity of the driver was unknown. The car was secured and several criminal proceedings were initiated against the driver. Nobody got hurt.
