Naumburg/Magdeburg (dpa/sa) – An exhibition on “political criminal justice” in the Soviet occupation zone and the GDR has been opened in the Naumburg Higher Regional Court (Burgenland district). As the Ministry of Justice announced on Thursday, the biographies of people who were held in Soviet special camps without being sentenced will be presented. In addition, it is about young people against whom penalties have been imposed on the basis of often fabricated allegations.

According to the information, the exhibition was developed by the memorial sites Roter Ochse in Halle, Moritzplatz in Magdeburg and German Division in Marienborn. It will be shown in the Naumburg Higher Regional Court until November 23rd. In addition to guided tours, lectures and discussions, there will also be offers for schoolchildren. From November 29th, the exhibition will be on display in the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt in Magdeburg.
