Magdeburg/Hannover (dpa/sa) – Saxony-Anhalt’s Prime Minister Reiner Haseloff (CDU) called on the federal government to act quickly in the energy crisis after the Prime Ministers’ Conference in Hanover. The countries agree that, in addition to a secure supply, a price limit for energy for private households, companies and the social infrastructure must have top priority. Now the federal government must make decisions as soon as possible. “It is important that the gas price brake, analogous to industry, also applies to private households and small and medium-sized companies as early as January 1, 2023. A time difference cannot be communicated here,” he explained on Friday.
The CDU politician also appealed to the energy suppliers to include the promised relief in their calculations and to take it into account when making payments on account. “Excessive advance payments are not justified and should be withdrawn,” said Haseloff.
