Stendal (dpa/sa) – A 43-year-old driver died in a head-on collision between two cars near Lohne (Altmarkkreis Salzwedel). The 27-year-old driver of the other car was seriously injured, the police in Stendal said on Sunday. After the accident, both men were flown to a hospital in a rescue helicopter, and the 43-year-old died there. The cars collided head-on in a curve on Saturday afternoon – between Lohne, which belongs to Arendsee, and Heiligenfelde (Stendal district). The cause was still unclear.
