Halle (dpa/sa) – In Saxony-Anhalt, every sixth new building last year was a prefabricated house. Of the almost 2,580 new buildings, more than 400 were prefabricated, as the State Statistical Office announced on Tuesday. Accordingly, the proportion of prefabricated buildings in residential buildings was almost 12 percent. For non-residential buildings (factories, workshops, warehouses) it was just under 34 percent. According to the information, prefabricated construction means the construction of a building with prefabricated components (prefabricated parts). Buildings that are created using modular or serial construction also fall under this category, as it was said.
