Halle (dpa/sa) – Friends of summer open-air events will get their money’s worth at the “Trotzburg Festival” in Halle over the next 23 days. After the opening on Friday, the Stadtmuseum Halle is presenting a total of 18 events at the Oberburg Giebichenstein until July 3rd. Regional and national artists invite you to 17 concerts and a play.
The festival kicks off with Irish folk by the Seldom Sober Company. The highlight is the concert by the band Die Zöllner led by singer and composer Dirk Zöllner. Zöllner is coming to Halle on June 11 together with André Gensicke as Die Zöllner in the Duo Infernale.
The “Trotzburg Festival” has its origins in the Corona pandemic. In 2020 it should be a one-time thing under the motto “Culture defies Corona”. The response was so great that, according to organizer Michael Proschek, it became a small festival.
