Magdeburg (dpa/sa) – After being closed for almost two years due to extensive conversion and renovation work, the Technology Museum in Magdeburg is reopening. On October 15th there should be a festival for this occasion, from October 16th the museum will start regular operations again, according to the city administration on Monday. On November 2, 2020, the doors of the Museum of Technology were closed, the collection of which includes exhibits from handicrafts, agriculture and traffic engineering.

This is presented in a former steel construction hall of the heavy machine construction combine “Ernst Thälmann” (SKET). The poor condition of the building made it necessary to close it for a long time. Some construction measures should now continue during ongoing operations, it said. The museum has existed since 1993 and the exhibition area is a good 2000 square meters.
