Schönebeck (dpa/sa) – A man was seriously injured in a fire in his house in Schönebeck (Salzland district). The 66-year-old suffered second-degree burns in the fire on Wednesday evening and was taken to a clinic by rescue helicopter, police said on Thursday. She is investigating the cause of the fire. The damage was estimated at 150,000 euros. The scene of the fire was confiscated and sealed. According to the police, the 66-year-old was taken out of the house by a 49-year-old. The man had yet to be heard about the exact circumstances, it said.
