Bernburg (dpa/sa) – A man fired several shots in Bernburg. As it turned out later, it was a blank gun. After the man fired several shots in the air in the immediate vicinity of the bus station on Saturday evening, witnesses alerted the police, the police said on Sunday. However, by the time officers arrived, the suspect had already disappeared from the scene. Bullet casings on the ground then pointed to a blank gun. The police were able to arrest the man a little later. But he no longer had the gun with him. According to witnesses, he gave them to a woman. She is wanted. The man is expected to face a preliminary investigation into violating the Weapons Act.
