Magdeburg (dpa/sa) – Minister of Agriculture Sven Schulze drew a positive balance after the Green Week in Berlin. From Saxony-Anhalt’s point of view, the fair was a complete success, said the CDU politician on Tuesday after the cabinet meeting in Magdeburg. Almost 100 exhibitors from the country took part.
Schulze said that not every federal state was represented with a large hall like Saxony-Anhalt this year. “There are individual federal states that were a little smaller there.” According to him, the Agriculture Ministers’ Conference should discuss the form in which the Green Week should take place in the future. Saxony-Anhalt supports the fair.
According to the State Chancellery, around 9,100 sausages, 8,500 portions of ice cream, 1,600 bottles of wine and sparkling wine and 4,500 liters of beer were sold in the Sachsen-Anhalt-Halle this year. Visitors to the fair spent an average of 130 euros on food and purchases.
The Green Week was organized again this year in the Berlin exhibition halls for the first time after a two-year Corona break. From January 20th to 29th it attracted around 300,000 visitors.
