Magdeburg (dpa/sa) – Saxony-Anhalt’s Transport Minister Lydia Hüskens wants to take stock of the start of the 9-euro ticket on Tuesday. According to an invitation to the state press conference, the FDP politician wants to speak after the cabinet meeting in Magdeburg. The wave of travel at Pentecost and the 9-euro ticket had recently caused a lot of traffic on the train. Due to the high number of passengers, it was temporarily not possible to take bicycles on some lines. Travelers were asked to choose other connections. The federal police were also on duty to support railway employees, for example when passengers had to be asked to leave overcrowded trains.
