Magdeburg (dpa/sa) – Saxony-Anhalt wants to pay teachers at primary schools better. This was confirmed to the German Press Agency on Thursday from coalition circles after consultations by the CDU, SPD and FDP on school policy. Several media had previously reported about it.
The agreement stipulates that teachers at primary schools should be introduced to the pay and salary groups E13 and A13 with a step-by-step plan from the summer. An annual increase in allowance could be paid for this. However, the change still has to be approved by the finance committee of the state parliament, which will meet in Magdeburg on Thursday for the cleanup session. The state budget for 2023 is to be finalized.
The state chairmen of the CDU, SPD and FDP want to provide information on the results of their deliberations in Magdeburg this morning.
