Magdeburg (dpa/sa) – Because his mother generously reached into her wallet, a 29-year-old does not have to go to prison. The man was checked at Magdeburg Central Station on Friday. It was noticed that he had a fine of 1,600 euros or a replacement prison sentence of 40 days for theft, the federal police said on Sunday. The mother, who was informed by the man, reportedly paid the fine and thus saved her son from prison.
