Magdeburg (dpa/sa) – The members of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt want to discuss the successor to the 9-euro ticket tomorrow. The traffic light coalition of SPD, Greens and FDP in the federal government has announced that the 9-euro ticket is to have a nationwide successor in the price range of 49 to 69 euros a month. However, the federal states must contribute to the financing. The federal government wants to inject 1.5 billion euros if the states pay at least as much.
A debate on public service broadcasting is also on the agenda in Magdeburg’s parliament. The federal states are currently working on a broadcasting reform. This involves, for example, strengthening transmitter control. In the fall, the Prime Ministers could sign the amendment to the State Media Treaty, after which the whole thing has to pass through the state parliaments.
