Halle (dpa/sa) – In 2021, the municipalities in Saxony-Anhalt spent over 69 million euros on public green spaces and landscaping. As the State Statistical Office announced on Tuesday, a total of 67.1 million euros were paid out in 2020 and 60.6 million euros in 2019. Accordingly, the payments also include investments and can vary from year to year depending on the projects and payment dates. The independent cities of Halle (Saale) reported the highest payments in 2021 with (9.9 million euros), followed by the state capital Magdeburg with (9.1 million euros) and the city of Dessau-Roßlau (4.5 million euros).
