Magdeburg (dpa/sa) – A broken switch at the Magdeburg Opera House caused obstructions in the state capital’s tram network on Wednesday. Since the site is on the only north-south connection, the tram network was divided, said a spokeswoman for Magdeburger Verkehrsbetriebe (MVB). That’s why there were road closures. A replacement service has been set up. In the afternoon, the MVB reported that the switch had been repaired. The vehicles should be clocked in again. However, delays were still to be expected.
