Halle (dpa/sa) – The public prosecutor’s office in Halle has applied for a penalty order against a 35-year-old man. A spokesman for the public prosecutor’s office said on Friday that he was accused of negligent homicide in three cases and negligent bodily harm in 15 cases. The application went to the district court in Halle at the end of September. First, the “Volksstimme” had reported.

The accused is accused of being negligently responsible for an accident on Autobahn 14 near Halle in early June as a youth coach for a soccer team. The court is now examining the file, the spokesman said. The application is then usually forwarded to the accused. The latter then decides whether to accept the application and the penalty contained therein. In this case, the public prosecutor’s office says they are asking for a fine in the lower five-digit range. If he objects to the application, the main hearing takes place. The appeal period is still running.

In the serious accident at the beginning of June, three people died on the A 14 and 19 were injured. According to the police, the minibus driven by the 35-year-old drove into a car between the Halle-Trotha and Halle-Tornau junctions. A car with three occupants was then thrown away and collided with another vehicle and another pickup truck. All three occupants of the car died at the scene of the accident.
