Zeitz (dpa/sa) – The dead portrait of Duke Moritz von Sachsen-Zeitz (1619-1681) is back in the museum in Moritzburg Castle in Zeitz after two years of restoration. It is considered one of the most important works in the baroque collection on the subject, as the city announced on Wednesday. According to the information, the castle has one of the largest baroque collections of dead people in Germany and Europe, with 15 works. According to the city, the duke was also the builder of Schloss Zeitz (Burgenlandkreis).
