Magdeburg (dpa/sa) – The registered corona incidence in Saxony-Anhalt continued to fall slightly and was just over the 100 mark on Tuesday. The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) put the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants per week at 101.7. 765 new infections with the corona virus were therefore registered, as was another death related to the virus. Across Germany, the seven-day incidence on Tuesday was 201.7.

However, experts assume that many corona cases are not recorded because positive rapid tests are not always followed by a PCR test. Only these are counted in the statistics. In addition, not all health authorities report their data on a daily basis, especially at the weekend and at the beginning of the week there can be a delay.

In Saxony-Anhalt, the city of Halle currently has the highest registered value at 174.0, while the district of Anhalt-Bitterfeld has the lowest at 54.7.
