Magdeburg (dpa/sa) – In Magdeburg and in the districts of Börde, Stendal and Salzlandkreis, the police searched several properties in connection with investigations into drug trafficking. The public prosecutor’s office in Magdeburg announced on Friday that a total of 65 officers had searched the living quarters, land and garages of two suspects. They seized 40 kilograms of marijuana, 7 kilograms of cocaine and 5 kilograms of crystal meth on Wednesday.
In addition, there were tens of thousands of euros in cash, weapons and a considerable number of allegedly stolen items such as a car, two e-bikes and various tools. According to the police, the value of the items seized is at least half a million euros. The street value of the narcotics is estimated at around 1.2 million euros. The two suspects, aged 31 and 50, have been arrested for the time being. A pre-trial arrest warrant was issued against one suspect.
