A heating house operated with liquid gas was identified as the outbreak site, said a spokesman for the Harz police station on Wednesday. Traces would be evaluated. The insurance company hired an expert to look for the cause. He will do further investigations. The fire broke out on the morning of December 24th. 46 people were brought to safety. Nobody got hurt. More than a hundred firefighters were deployed. The damage was estimated at four million euros.
