Halle (dpa/sa) – cinema hall instead of classroom: In order to convey pedagogical content and values ??to children and young people with the help of films and to teach them analytical tools, there is a school cinema week in Saxony-Anhalt. After the start on Friday in the Luchs-Kino Halle, current films, classics, documentaries, films in the original language as well as animation and short films are on the program nationwide until November 25th. Pupils of all ages are addressed – from elementary school to vocational school. The films are shown in the mornings at a reduced admission price, and various special events such as film seminars and teacher training round off the offer.
The mobile school cinema is used in sparsely populated rural areas. According to the organizers, the offer is aimed at schools that do not have a cinema within a radius of at least 20 kilometers or for whom the way to the cinema takes too long and is too expensive.
At the opening, director Tobias Wiemann will be presenting his film “The Path”, which was released this year. According to the information, the drama was the winning film at this year’s children’s media festival “Goldener Spatz”.
