Dresden (dpa/sa) – The federal government is providing almost three million euros for the preservation of cultural monuments in Saxony. The Saxon State Ministry for Regional Development announced on Thursday that the money should flow into castles, manor houses, churches and chapels. In addition, their renovation is co-financed by the Free State in a comparable amount.
The funds will benefit, among others, Schönfels Castle in Lichtentanne, Wolkenburg Castle in Limbach-Oberfrohna, the Kleinwelka Sisters’ House in Bautzen, the Pödelwitz Village Church in Groitzsch, as well as the youth cinema and the Lutheran Church in Leipzig.
