Magdeburg (dpa/sa) – In Saxony-Anhalt, five universities want to cooperate on a new course on the subject of artificial intelligence. The interdisciplinary offer “AI engineering” is located at the interface of artificial intelligence (Artificial Intelligence: AI) and engineering and is unique in Germany, said the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg on Friday.

The bachelor’s program is scheduled to start in the coming winter semester. In addition to the Otto von Guericke University, the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, the Harz University of Applied Sciences, the Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences and the Merseburg University of Applied Sciences are also involved. According to the information, the aim is to train specialists who will develop pioneering solutions for industry and solve engineering problems. The project is funded by the federal and state governments. The course is to be officially presented on November 3rd.
