Lutherstadt Eisleben (dpa/sa) – For the whole family: This year, the ensemble of the Eisleben theater has chosen to perform the winter fairy tale “Rapunzel geht los!” decided. After the premiere on Thursday, the production by Sebastian Wirnitzer with Ronja Jenko as Rapunzel will be shown until the beginning of May 2023. According to the theater, Wirnitzer decided to bring the fairy tale of the Brothers Grimm to the stage as a fast-paced comedy. The author Kathrin Lange took over the necessary stage adaptation of the fairy tale, the equipment Wiebke Horn, it said.
For Wirnitzer, the current winter fairy tale is the third assignment at the theater in Lutherstadt Eisleben. Almost all performances have been scheduled for the morning to be child- and family-friendly.
According to its own statements, the Eisleben Theater was founded on July 13, 1945 as the first German post-war theater. First it was called Bürgertheater, then Thomas-Müntzer-Theater and later Landesbühne Sachsen-Anhalt and Kulturwerk MSH. Almost 40 people work at the Eisleben Theater today, in the past there were more than 200.
