Halle (dpa/sa) – The case caused horror in Halle: in 2019, after attending a concert, a woman was hit and died while crossing the street by a car that was said to be driving at excessive speed in the city. The driver fled the scene of the accident. From Monday (9:00 a.m.) he has to answer again before the regional court in Halle for negligent homicide. In March, the Halle District Court sentenced the accused, who was born in October 2000, to a suspended sentence of two years. The co-plaintiff, representing the family of the accident victim, appealed against this. The woman’s death is now being re-tried in the district court.
