Dresden (dpa / sn) – The bishop of the Dresden-Meissen diocese, Heinrich Timmerevers, has the deceased Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. honored as a bridge builder. “In my estimation, he is one of the most brilliant theological teachers who have succeeded the throne of Saint Peter,” said the Catholic bishop on Saturday. The emeritus pope died in the Mater Ecclesiae monastery in the Vatican on Saturday morning. Born in Bavaria, he was 95 years old.
