As the Görlitz police department announced on Saturday, the bus driver initially braked quickly on Friday evening on the road from Laußnitz to Höckendorf (Bautzen district) so as not to run over a Jack Russel Terrier who suddenly ran across the road. Since there was no mistress or master to be seen far and wide, he took the frightened animal on board and informed the police in Pulsnitz. Officers were able to identify the dog owner. The bitch was looked after in an animal boarding facility until it was picked up.
