Leipzig/Wurzen (dpa/sn) – Several cigarette vending machines in Leipzig and Wurzen have become the target of thieves. As the police announced on Monday, unknown perpetrators blew up a total of three machines. In two cases, the thieves took cigarettes and cash, in the third case it was not yet clear whether they got hold of the contents of the blown up machine. The crimes occurred on Sunday night in the Wurzen district of Burkartshain and in Leipzig’s Zentrum-Nord and on Monday night in Leipzig-Lindenthal. In all cases, investigations are being carried out into causing an explosive explosion and particularly serious theft.
