Chemnitz (dpa / sn) – Companies in Saxony are desperately looking for apprentices. In the current season, around 19,000 jobs for vocational training were reported, 2000 or 11.8 percent more than a year ago, said the regional directorate of the Federal Employment Agency on Tuesday. This is offset by a decline in young people who have registered for training at youth employment agencies. Their number fell by 5.4 percent to almost 16,400. About half of them are already taken care of, it said. The chances of suitable training for young people in Saxony are better than ever before.
