Dresden (dpa/sn) – The Blue Wonder in Dresden will be completely closed for four weeks during the summer holidays. The city administration announced on Monday that anyone wanting to cross the Elbe would have to take a detour via the Waldschlösschen Bridge. Alternatively, the next possible Elbe crossing is the Sachsenbrücke in Pirna. The closure of the Blue Wonder should last from July 25th to August 19th. During this time, various renovation work will be carried out on the blue-painted, listed steel bridge. It has been under repair since February. The city estimated the cost of the bridge work at 2.5 million euros.
