Leipzig/Oberwiesenthal (dpa/sn) – The forecast by the German Weather Service (DWD) promises a perfect start to this year’s ski season. As in the past few days, the temperatures remained below freezing on Wednesday and Thursday, the DWD announced on Tuesday. On Thursday, with up to minus five degrees, the sun occasionally peeks out from behind the clouds in the sky. It cannot be ruled out that fresh snow will freshly powder the ski slopes of the Free State before skiers can ski on them from the weekend. With a view to the start of the season, Tourism Minister Barbara Klepsch (CDU) wants to visit the Oberwiesenthal ski area on Wednesday.
