Delitzsch (dpa / sn) – The police searched an allotment plot in Delitzsch (Northern Saxony district) for weapons of war. The investigators from the Police Counter-Terrorism and Extremism Center (PTAZ) were deployed on June 28, the Saxony State Criminal Police Office announced on Tuesday. Accordingly, the police had previously received a witness reference.

According to the police, no objects that fall under the War Weapons Control Act were found during the search. However, investigators secured several compressed air guns, weapon parts, ammunition and a small amount of narcotics. The suspicion of a planned crime in connection with the Peter and Paul city festival in Delitzsch, which according to the police was last weekend, could not be substantiated.

The two suspects, a 33-year-old and a 45-year-old, are at large, a spokesman said. The investigation into the violation of the War Weapons Control Act is therefore continuing.
