Strelln (dpa/sn) – In Strelln, Saxony, people protested on Tuesday evening against the planned accommodation of refugees in the community in the Nordsachsen district near Leipzig. The police spoke of around 200 participants, there were no special incidents. Demonstrations took place in front of a building in which a public information event on the planned accommodation was to take place.

The district wants to set up temporary accommodation for around 200 refugees by April. Residential containers for 100 people each are to be built on Schanzberg in Eilenburg and in Strelln.
