Dresden (dpa/sn) – Researchers at the Technical University of Dresden have developed a mobile escape room with a learning effect for vocational school classes. Although the secret of the game has to be revealed within an hour, the players also learn something, as the university announced on Wednesday. The puzzles conveyed content from nutritional and household science, which supplemented the lessons and made it possible to apply what had been learned.
In the course of the project funded by the Volkswagen Foundation, it will also be examined how gamification can be used to impart knowledge. The room, which can be set up in modules, is located in the German Hygiene Museum until the end of August – guests can solve four more puzzles in the permanent exhibition.
