Dresden (dpa / sn) – The state of Saxony supported its companies with state participation in 2021 with 52.3 million euros. “The effects of the corona pandemic also continued in the portfolio companies in 2021 with varying degrees of severity,” writes Finance Minister Hartmut Vorjohann (CDU) in the new investment report, which was presented on Tuesday. The Free State holds direct stakes in 31 companies that have more than 5,400 employees in Saxony. The spectrum ranges from the porcelain manufactory in Meissen to the airports in Dresden and Leipzig to the Saxon development bank and Sachsenlotto.

The report, which is available on the Internet, provides 270 pages of data on private and public companies in which the state holds shares. It relates to the 2021 financial year.
