Dresden (dpa / sn) – According to a report in the “Sächsische Zeitung”, people in Saxony are taking their time submitting the property tax return. A few weeks before the submission deadline at the end of October, around a sixth of the affected owners submitted the declaration. The newspaper reported on Monday and referred to information from the Ministry of Finance.
According to this, around 280,000 declarations had been submitted by the deadline of September 8th. The owners of around two million plots of land and real estate are subject to the tax.
All owners of land, condominiums and agricultural and forestry businesses as well as leaseholders must provide information on the year of construction, living space and land value by October 31st. The reason is the recalculation of the property tax.
