Dresden / Berlin (dpa / sn) – The Saxon cabinet will meet again next Tuesday away from home and meet with federal ministers in the representation of the Free State at the federal level. According to the State Chancellery on Thursday, the Federal Ministers for Economics and Climate Protection, Robert Habeck (Greens), for Digital Affairs and Transport, Volker Wissing (FDP), for Housing, Urban Development and Construction, Klara Geywitz (SPD) and Chancellor Wolfgang Schmidt are at the meeting (SPD) and the Federal Government Commissioner for East Germany, Carsten Schneider (SPD), as well as Culture and Media, Claudia Roth (Greens). The advice focuses on overcoming the energy crisis, structural change in the lignite regions, transport infrastructure projects and cooperation between the federal and state governments.

Saxony is also pushing for quick decisions to immediately relieve citizens and businesses of the high energy prices. Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer (CDU) has repeatedly called for quick help for private households and companies, but also for clarity about the financing of the energy price brake.
