Dresden (dpa / sn) – The state winners of the seventh children’s garden competition in Saxony have been determined. As the Saxon Ministry of Culture announced on Thursday, the krea(k)tiv children’s home in Dresden and the “Kleine Weltdiscoverer” day-care center in Stolpen convinced the expert jury. According to the ministry, the two children’s homes were characterized by a particularly green and creative open space design and each received prize money of 2,500 euros. The competition always runs for around two years. A total of 59 children’s homes have taken part in the competition since the beginning of last year.

The competition, launched in 2008, is carried out in a three-stage process. Accordingly, a certain number of day-care centers are selected and awarded in each stage.
