Dresden (dpa / sn) – Three people have been arrested on suspicion of serious gang theft in Dresden. As the police announced on Friday, arrest warrants were issued against two women aged 46 and 48 and against a 52-year-old man on Thursday. They were then taken to different detention centers. The suspects are said to have robbed senior citizens several times between late January and early March. Specifically, there are four cases.

On Wednesday, the three suspects reportedly followed an 86-year-old woman from a savings bank to the stairwell of her apartment building. There, the two women and the man are said to have harassed the elderly woman and stolen several hundred euros and an EC card. Alarmed police officers arrested the three alleged perpetrators shortly after the crime. According to the police, it is still being determined whether the trio could also be responsible for other crimes.
