A tugboat drove into the Kattwyk Bridge in the port of Hamburg on Thursday, probably due to a technical defect. The wheelhouse was badly damaged and the crew suffered minor scratches, a police spokesman said in the evening. The bridge was initially closed to traffic on Thursday evening. However, shipping was possible. The tug had been secured alongside the quay wall and was no longer operational.
