In the fight against her breast cancer, Sonya Kraus undergoes chemotherapy for months. Now the 49-year-old is completing the treatment and feels “stronger than ever”. Sporadically she is still a little “gaga in the head”, jokes the presenter.
Sonya Kraus has completed her chemotherapy. In an interview with “Bild”, Kraus explained that she is now doing “outrageously well”. Occasionally she was “a little gaga in the head,” joked the 49-year-old. “Doctors refer to it as chemo-brain. Malicious tongues claim that this is normal for me.”
At the beginning of the year, Sonya Kraus made her breast cancer public. On her Instagram page, she shared with her fans her journey to recovery while also discussing the side effects of the treatment, such as her hair loss. The former model is optimistic though – she “loves” her wigs, she shared on social media.
Mentally, Kraus felt “stronger than ever” after the end of chemotherapy. “Actually, I’ve always been pretty relaxed, but now? I’m so chilled with everything!” Said the moderator. She also recommends this mentality to everyone who has just received a diagnosis: “It is what it is! So let’s make the best of it. Fear eats the soul and a horror show in the head robs you of strength (…). My focus was always on the positive aspects and this mental attitude was a real booster for me.”
