The lifeless body of a person has been found by firefighters who were carrying out extinguishing work in the fire caused by a gas explosion in a house on Hernando de Soto street, in the San Fernando neighborhood of Badajoz, as confirmed by the chief of firefighters from the Municipal Fire Extinguishing Service, Basilio González.
As a result of the explosion, which occurred around 3:30 p.m. this Thursday, 16 people were injured, all of them minor, including two police officers, two firefighters and neighbors, most affected by anxiety crisis, has reported the 112 Emergency Center of Extremadura.
Police officers have proceeded to evacuate the building and cordon off the area and are investigating the causes of the explosion that occurred just when the firefighters were going to force the door of the house after being alerted by a strong smell of gas that came from inside it. .
