The former president of the Community of Madrid, Esperanza Aguirre, demanded this Saturday that the PSOE, if it wants to carry out the amnesty, hold a referendum on it: “Let them ask it and then all Spaniards have the right to vote,” she assured.
This was stated in statements to Efe during the rally – promoted on social media – that was held this Saturday in Ferraz, headquarters of the PSOE, against the amnesty and in which Aguirre actively participated, even cutting off traffic. from the street with the rest of the protesters.
“The PSOE has denied the amnesty until two days ago. If they want to carry out the amnesty, they should hold a referendum and ask for it, so that all Spaniards have the right to vote,” he reiterated.
The former president added that she is “outraged” that the police who stopped the Democratic Tsunami, a Catalan independence platform, are not included in the amnesty.
“For the rest of the amnesty, after removing the sedition, they are going to give pardons, change the embezzlement,” Aguirre said.
