Spain received in June 2.2 million tourists, almost double that in the month of May (1.4 million), when in Spain there were still restrictions on the state of alarm.
If compared to the Prepairymia Year (2019), when 8.8 million arrived, it means having lost 6.6 million foreigners, but if we take as a reference last year, growth is almost 1000%.
In June 2020, the first year of the pandemic, the borders were still closed and our country only 204,272 foreigners arrived.
The sector has always defended that as soon as the restrictions were raised, the tourism was recovering little by little.
The data from the survey of tourism movements in June borders published today by the National Institute of Statistics (INE) yes show a slight recovery of tourism month by month but far from the pre-Covid levels.
Regarding the expenditure made by foreigners, according to the Spending Survey of the INE (EGATUR), it is located at 2,416 million in June, compared to 134 million of the same month of 2020, but far from 9,700 million in 2019.
In the first six months of this year, 5.4 million tourists came to our country, half that in the same period of 2020 (10.8 million).

In six months, only 273,000 British came to our country.
Only in June 2019, almost 2.1 million had arrived.
In the same month last year just 8,000.
The restrictions imposed by London to tourism are weighing.
On the contrary, Germany and France resist and grow other markets such as Switzerland, which adds 3.6% more visitors with respect to the same period last year.
