The Police are investigating an alleged group sexual assault on two minors in Logroño in which about ten or twelve adolescents, aged between 13 and 16, would have participated.
The events occurred on the afternoon of last Sunday, April 9, in the Avenida de Navarra area of ??the Rioja capital, in the vicinity of the Old Town, sources of the investigation have indicated this Tuesday.
The first data from the investigation indicate that, apparently, the minors stayed with the victims in a place and, when they agreed, around 8:15 p.m., they were sexually assaulted.
About an hour and a half later, the two minors, born in 2009, met agents of the Logroño Local Police in the vicinity, to whom they reported the events.
Apparently, some of the alleged attackers were still in the place where the events occurred, according to what the agents could verify.
The minors under 14 years of age allegedly involved in these events were placed under the guardianship of their parents and those over that age have been arrested, although the exact number is still unknown.
The investigation is under summary secrecy, sources from the Police Headquarters of La Rioja have indicated, without further information having been provided.
Given the age of the alleged aggressors, the La Rioja Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office is in charge of the investigation, which, once completed, will forward it to the Juvenile Court.
