New faces in the most watched contest on television. Four new guests come to the set of Pasapalabra to express their knowledge and good humor and incidentally help the contestants, Moisés and Fer, to add seconds in their lockers for the final test of El Rosco. The presenter Roberto Leal welcomes Luz Valdenebro, Blanca Marsillach, Rubén Sanz and Iñaki Miramón to the Antena 3 program. Let’s get to know this latest guest a little better.
Born in Bilbao 66 years ago, Iñaki Miramón is a very popular face on television, although his long career is also full of projects in theater and cinema. He began in the world of acting in the theater group Narruzko Zezen, from the Labor University of Eibar, directed by Juan Ortega Roldán and where he coincided with Imanol Arias.
With the aim of definitively training as an actor, Miramón moved to Madrid in 1976 to study at the Royal School of Dramatic Art. And it didn’t take long for him to receive his first opportunity: a role in the film Arriba Hazaña, by José María Gutiérrez Santos (1978). And just a year later, he was part of the cast of Tic Tac Toe, by Francisco Romá.
Since then, the proposals have not stopped coming. The Almería case, Akelarre or Oficio de muchachos were some of his film works during the 80s. Already in 1989, he participated in the film El mar y el tiempo, by Fernando Fernán Gómez and from then on the actor focused his career on theater and television.
In fact, it was on the small screen where Iñaki Miramón achieved fame, thanks to his roles in series such as Página de sucesos, Mourning suits Electra well and especially the comedy Media Naranja (1986), where he formed a successful tandem with Amparo Larranaga.
On his resume he accumulates twenty appearances in series, such as More than friends, La sopa boba, With his ass in the air or Gym Tony. More recently, he was recruited for the popular Amar es para siempre, where he plays Justo Quintero Sánchez, and for the series Los pacientes del doctor García (2023), an adaptation of the novel by Almudena Grandes.
Regarding the theater, Miramón’s career began with Los eighty son nuestros, by Ana Diosdado, together with Amparo Larrañaga, a production that ran for more than three years. Quiet hands!, by Piti Español, La venganza de don Mendo, by Pedro Muñoz Seca, or Héroes, by Gérald Sibleyras, are other outstanding works in his biography.
It should be noted that the actor returned to the cinema after a hiatus of 10 years. He returned with the film You’re the One (a story from then), by José Luis Garci. His interpretation of Orfeo earned him a Goya nomination for best supporting actor. This summer of 2023 he is also on the billboard with the movie De perdidos a Río.
